Networking. lurking. blogging. vlogging.
i totally emersed myself in the whole blogging dream. being able to look at up to minute posts from 112 class members is really stimulating and interesting. the positive feedback that i recieved for work throughout this experience was very rewarding!! cute comments. pretty pictures and to my suprise extremely fun!
i love it. i've made homepages on my computer at home design blogs - i cant believe that i'd never exposed myself to the blogging world. its truely worth youre while and there's some incredible work out there! joining networks with others has just begun and i feel really impressed with how ive grasped this blogging concept thus far!

This vlog is representative of a process we all go through every day. each chair representing a person and also a metaphor for where we find ourselves sitting - in groups with friends or in our RL Networks. each chair (one of us) comes from a different place - symbolic of the journey we all take in the morning to come together and do whatever. the story of the vlog shows three of the four chairs shown in this network showing up to a location on time and the fourth is shown sleeping in and being late! each chair has their own personality and is represented in a slightly different way to the others. puppetry was fun fun fun.

sitting ovation.

sitting.

its something we all do everyday - whether it be by yourself or with a network of people; breakfast. lecture. lunch. lecture. studio. dinner. bed.

I've never really heard about blogs before now - but yeah - they're awesome! here goes my new blog social life...

My favourite blog so far - design is kinky. It's full of artist web links, galleries of their work and is predominantely modern mixed media design. wow.
http://www.designiskinky.net/.

I can imagine it'd be insanely easy to get lost in cyber space or whatever they call it - so many links and only one button on my mouse!!!

this is potentially even better than the last. golden even.

Clever i thought that the company "we made this ltd." has a blog (link above) yet on their blogs side menu a link to their website, to boost their own page views! blatent but sneaky.

i'm listing three blogs that relate to my work and the third being; http://grainedit.com/
grain edit shares design that explores negative spaces, typography and mixed media also.

too much to look at. it's overwhelming!

I was pleasantly suprised to find the hectic hours i put into my first DESN 101 project paid off when i got my first a plus. Initially stoked but now anxious that i've set a standard for myself i can't keep up with!
My attention to detail made me take the longer route to finishing but probably contributed to my good mark. I crosstitched all 9 letters of the word "embellish" individually; each taking approx two hours.
It was totally awesome being able to crank out the sewing and be doing uni work all at the same time! The final three photos of my grid and word have clean lines, strong forms and stark contrast between forms.

I've never done any drawing previously to this course so was pretty much vommy when we were told the other components to this project were all drawing based. I really enjoyed it though. In a way this project gave me confident that although I’m lacking any experience so far – I can in fact do it!
